ModViz, Inc.

Vision. The future of computing is visual. ModViz, Inc.’s software products, developed within Siemens, make high-quality visualization affordable and accessible using off-the-shelf PC technology. Our company goal is for our software to become the standard Visualization OS (operating system) for PC-based systems.

Products. Our current products enable off-the-shelf PCs arrayed in clusters to produce high-resolution, interactive 2D and 3D graphics in real-time. These “viz clusters” outperform high-powered graphics supercomputers at a fraction of the cost. Customers and third parties who have examined and used our first product, RenderizerÔ visualization management software, call it “best of breed.”

Mr. Becker was the founding Chairman of the Board of ModViz, Inc.

Indico competes in the resume database market.

There are currently three major players in the resume database market: Monster.Com, Yahoo! HotJobs, and CareerBuilder. All three of these companies started out as online classified vendors, and all continue to derive the bulk of their revenue from job postings. However, the composition of their revenue is quickly changing. While corporate recruiters and hiring managers were previously content to have resumes “pushed” at them by classified respondents, they now prefer to “pull” the most applicable candidates from resume databases.

Indico’s patent-pending approaches to resume collection and privacy serve as key barriers to competitive entry. These patents protect a series of innovative methods to acquire and retain the resumes of unique, high value candidates sourced through internal referrals. They also cover proprietary mechanisms to protect the identity of passive job seekers and ensure their continued participation in the Indico Talent Network. These approaches, when executed in the market will support a marketing message that validates what most recruiters already know: that classified advertising doesn’t work and that current resume databases are not a reliable place to find the best candidates.
