Joe
Becker is President & CEO of Dolphin Venture Management, Inc. Mr. Becker founded Dolphin
Ventures in 1993 to address the problems and
deficiencies inherent in start-up, early stage and growth stage ventures.
Mr. Becker
is a computer industry veteran with over 37 years of experience in general
management, marketing, corporate development, product planning, market
research and sales.
Mr.
Becker's most recent experience includes serving as Founder & CEO of The
Enterprise Network (TEN) where he worked with high growth start-up companies
to improve their likelihood of success. This was done through business
plan assistance and critique, the formation of advisory boards, and matching
start-up companies with institutional and angel investors based on their
mutual interests.
Mr.
Becker also served as President & Chief Executive Officer of ICOT
Corporation, a publicly held data communications company where he was also
responsible for marketing and corporate development. Prior thereto, Mr.
Becker held several management positions at technology companies such as
Four-Phase Systems, Mohawk Data Sciences, Univac and Burroughs where he
was responsible for strategic planning, corporate development and planning,
and systems and project management. Mr. Becker received his
undergraduate degree from UCLA and his MBA degree from California State
University at Long Beach.
Mr. Becker has been a private investor in early stage technology companies, and was a limited partner in New Vista Capital, Aspen Ventures, and Sand Hill Capital. Mr. Becker is the Chairman of ZNYX Networks, Inc.. He also serves on the advisory board of Rent One Online, Inc. Mr. Becker is a civic entrepreneur and advises numerous Silicon Valley Non-Profit organizations including Silicon Valley Association of Startup Entrepreneurs (SVASE), (Past Chairman & Board), The Enterprise Network (TEN) (Founder & Past Chairman & CEO), Software Development Forum (Advisory Board), and the Small Business Development Center (Advisory Board).
When not working with Dolphin clients, Joe enjoys his many hobbies including Masters Swimming, Skiing, Guitar, Scuba Diving, Surfing, and USTA Tennis.

Venture: Silicon Valley Network, a regional economic development

improve their chances of success. This
is done through business plan assistance and critique, one-on-one
counseling and the formation of advisory boards composed of volunteer
executives for these entrepreneurs.
The Silicon Valley Capital
Network links entrepreneurs to private, institutional, and corporate
investors through a database match of investor criteria to company
criteria. Network
subscribers are selected after an extensive screening process.
